Base pay on single spine increased by 30 percent.

Following discussions over the 2023 SSSS, the government and organized labor today (Jan. 12, 2023) agreed to the new basic wage.

The contract was signed by the government, which was represented by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR), the Ministry of Finance, and Organized Labour, which included institutions and unions that represent Ghana’s public sector employees.

The effective date for the implementation of the new base pay is January 1, 2023.
