Read These 8 Love Books Before You Tie the Knot

We’ve all seen the movies, where the main character reads an entire book in one sitting but have you ever actually tried it?

If you’re in love and getting married soon, then it might be time to dust off your bookworm status and take a page out of your favorite books to read before you tie the knot.

Here are 8 love books to read when getting married.

1) The 5 Love Languages

If you’re looking for a book that will help improve your communication with your partner, look no further than The 5 Love Languages.

Written by relationship expert Dr. Gary Chapman, this book has helped countless couples learn to love each other better.

2) Will I Ever Be Good Enough?

This book is all about learning to love and accept yourself, warts and all. It’s an important message for anyone, but especially for those of us who are getting married.

After all, if we can’t love ourselves, how can we expect to fully love someone else?

3) Consciously Connected

In this book, relationship expert Lindsey Simcik helps couples learn how to create and maintain a strong, healthy relationship by teaching them the importance of communication, intimacy, and trust.

If you’re looking to build a lasting relationship with your significant other, this book is a must-read.

4) The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work

John Gottman’s book on marriage has been around for years, and for good reason. It’s based on research he’s done with couples, and provides seven principles to help make marriage work.

They are: enhance your love maps, nurture your fondness and admiration, turn toward each other instead of away, let your partner influence you, solve your solvable problems, accept the influence of your partner, and create shared meaning.

5) Falling in Love with Each Other Again

In this book, Dr. Gary Chapman explores what it means to truly love one another. He argues that there are five different love languages- words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, and physical touch.

And often, we speak different love languages than our partner. By learning to love one another in the way they need to be loved, we can keep the spark alive in our relationship and keep falling in love with each other again and again.

6) How We Love

This book is all about how to love your partner in a way that will last a lifetime. It dives into the concept of unconditional love and how to achieve it.

The author, Milan Yerkovich, has over 30 years of experience as a marriage and family therapist, so you know you’re in good hands.

7) Living a Life of Yes

We all know that feeling when our dreams seem within reach, but we can’t quite make them happen.

We want to say yes to what life is offering us, but we hold back, afraid of making the wrong choice or taking a leap into the unknown.

In her book, Living a Life of Yes, Leslie Barber shows us how to say yes to the good things in life and let go of our fears.

8) Hold Me Tight

One of the most important things in a relationship is learning how to communicate effectively with your partner.

This book, Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love by Dr. Sue Johnson, is all about learning how to do just that.

The book offers exercises and games to help you and your partner improve your communication and connection with each other.

5 Common Reasons Why People Cheat in Marriage (2022)

How can I prevent my partner from cheating on me?

The Top Five Reasons Why Couples Cheat on Each Other

The topic of cheating in marriage is never easy to discuss, but it’s important to understand the reasons why people cheat in marriage if you want to ensure your marriage won’t fall victim to this problem.

In order to do this, consider the top five reasons why couples cheat on each other. If any of these apply to you or your spouse, work towards resolving these issues before it’s too late!

Here are the top five reasons why couples cheat on each other, as described by leading family therapist Dr. Robi Ludwig in her book, 30 Secrets of Lasting Love.

Sexual Desire

One of the most common reasons why couples cheat on each other is because of sexual desire. When one partner is no longer satisfied with the sex life within the relationship, they may seek satisfaction elsewhere.

This can often lead to feelings of resentment and bitterness, which can eventually destroy the relationship.

Being Jealous

Often times, people cheat because they are jealous of their partner. They may be worried that their partner is cheating on them, or they may be afraid that their partner will find someone else who is better than them.

Either way, jealousy can lead to feelings of insecurity and mistrust, which can drive a wedge between couples.

Personal Growth

One of the main reasons why couples cheat on each other is because they’re not growing together. When one person feels like they’re not getting what they need from their partner, they may seek it elsewhere.

This can be due to different levels of ambition, different interests, or simply a lack of communication.

If you and your partner are not growing together, it’s important to talk about it and find ways to grow together. Otherwise, you may find yourselves heading down a dangerous path.

One of the most common reasons why couples cheat on each other is because they’re bored. They feel like they’re in a rut and they’re not being challenged anymore.

This can lead to one or both partners feeling like they’re not appreciated and that their needs aren’t being met.

Low Self-Esteem

One of the main reasons why people cheat on their partners is because they have low self-esteem. When you don’t feel good about yourself, it’s easy to look for validation from others.

This can lead you to seek out attention and affirmation from people outside of your relationship, which can lead to an affair.

No More Extensions: Ursula Owusu on SIM Registration

The registration of SIM cards in Ghana has been extended for the second time after the deadline expired on May 1st, 2022 at midnight.

The Registrar General and CEO of the National Identification Authority (NIA) and Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, Hon. Ursula Owusu, made this known to Joy News’ in an interview on Friday, May 22nd, 2022.

SIM card registration was first extended to July 31st, 2022 after the initial May 1, 2022 deadline lapsed without any significant registrations by citizens which left many questioning the effectiveness of the exercise.

The next phase of solving Ghana’s SIM card registration problem

According to Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu, the next phase of solving Ghana’s SIM card registration problem will not involve any extensions.

All unregistered SIM cards will be blocked from July 31st 2022. This is a major step in tackling Ghana’s mobile money fraud problem, which has been costing the country millions of dollars each year.
Owusu urges all Ghanaians who have not yet registered their SIM cards to do so as soon as possible, to avoid being cut off from mobile money services and making of phone calls and having access to the internet.

Ghana’s SIM card registration process in retrospect

The process was marred by controversy from the beginning. Some people were in support of it, while others felt it was an invasion of privacy.

The process was extended several times, but eventually came to an end. Hon. Ursula Owusu, the Minister of Communications, has stated that there will be no more extensions.

This is a relief to many who were concerned about their personal information being made public.

Challenges SIM registrants may face

While the process of registering for a SIM card has become easier in recent years, there are still some challenges that registrants may face.

For one, they may not have all the required documents on hand (Ghana Card). Additionally, they may not be familiar with the process or may not have someone to help them through it.

Another challenge is that the registration centers can be very crowded, making it difficult to get registered in a timely manner.

How to Prevent Accidents (Dangers of the Ghanaian Roadway)

Ghanaian Roadway and How to Prevent Accidents

The Dangers of the Ghanaian Roadway and How to Prevent Accidents

The dangers of the Ghanaian roadway are greater than most people realize. Some of these dangers are obvious, such as drunk drivers, distracted drivers, and unsafe vehicles.

However, other dangers are not so obvious to those who do not travel the Ghanaian roadways on a regular basis.

To help Ghanaians better avoid the dangers that face them when they travel in their own country, this article will explain these hazards in detail and offer some easy steps to prevent accidents from occurring in the first place or to mitigate the damage if an accident does occur.

Reasons for Deadly Car Crashes

1.One of the main reasons for car accidents is speeding. According to research, speeding is a factor in about 30% of all fatal crashes.
2.Another cause of car accidents is distracted driving. This can include anything from texting while driving to talking on the phone, eating, or even just looking away from the road for a split second.
3.Driving under the influence is also a major cause of car accidents.

Part 1: Drivers

In Ghana, drivers are often the cause of road accidents. Many drivers are not licensed and do not know the rules of the road.

They also drive recklessly, at high speeds, and under the influence of alcohol. These factors all contribute to the high number of accidents on Ghanaian roads.

Part 2: Vehicles

One of the most common causes of accidents on Ghanaian roads is vehicles. Many cars, trucks, and motorcycles are not in good condition and are not well-maintained.

This can lead to problems with the brakes, tires, or other parts of the vehicle. Drivers also often do not follow traffic laws, which can result in accidents.

Part 3: Roads

In Ghana, as in many other countries, road accidents are a leading cause of death. The reasons for these accidents are many and varied, but there are some commonalities.

First, poor road conditions are a major factor. Potholes, washed-out roads, and debris are all hazards that can lead to serious accidents.

Second, driver error is another major cause of accidents on Ghanaian roads. Speeding, drunk driving, and distracted driving are all dangerous behaviors that can lead to tragedy.

Part 4: Pedestrians

Even if you’re not in a car, you’re still at risk on the Ghanaian roads. reckless pedestrians are one of the leading causes of accidents.

To avoid being hit by a car, always use sidewalks when they are available and be cautious when crossing streets.

If there is no sidewalk, walk on the shoulder as far away from traffic as possible. Make yourself visible by wearing bright clothing during the day and reflective gear at night.

Part 5: Traffic Lights

Traffic lights are one of the most important ways to regulate traffic flow and keep drivers safe. However, in Ghana, they are often ignored or treated as suggestions.

This can lead to dangerous situations and accidents. To avoid this, drivers should be more cautious at intersections and obey all traffic signals.

Part 6: Helmets and Seatbelts

It is estimated that wearing a helmet can reduce the risk of a head injury by up to 85%. Wearing a seatbelt can reduce the risk of serious injury or death in a crash by up to 50%.

In Ghana, however, only about 1% of motorcyclists and 10% of car occupants use seatbelts.

Part 7: Drunk Driving

One of the leading causes of accidents on Ghanaian roads is drunk driving. Drunk drivers pose a serious threat to themselves and others on the road, and it is important to be aware of the dangers they pose.

There are a few things you can do to avoid being in an accident with a drunk driver.
First, if you see a car swerving or driving erratically, do not assume that the driver is just tired or distracted.

It could be that they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Final Thoughts

The Government of Ghana must construct enough dual carriage roads to reduce the rate of accident in the country.

And Citizens must also respect road rules and avoid unnecessary accident, over speeding and wrong overtaking.

Strikes And Their Economic Consequences

Effects of a Strike on the Economy

The Surprising Effects of a Strike on the Economy

A strike can be an incredibly powerful tool, but only if it’s done correctly. When done correctly, strikes can force employers to make concessions and improve working conditions, which benefits the whole community.

But if not done correctly, strikes can have negative impacts on the economy and prove counterproductive in the long run.

This blog post will go over what a strike actually does to an economy and the various ways that this action can affect business and society in general.

Economic Impact

A strike can have both immediate and long-term effects on an economy. In the short-term, businesses may suffer from lost productivity and revenue.

For example, if workers are striking for higher wages, businesses may have to raise prices to offset the increased cost of labor.

This can lead to inflation and reduced consumer spending. In the long-term, a strike can cause businesses to relocate or close down altogether. This can lead to job losses and increased unemployment.

Market Repercussions

When workers go on strike, it can have ripple effects throughout the economy. For example, if employees at a Ghana Education Service walk off the job, it could lead to higher lost for students. And if truckers go on strike, it could disrupt the supply chain and lead to shortages of goods.

Political Impact

A strike can have a significant impact on the economy, depending on its duration and severity. In the short-term, a strike can cause disruptions in production and supplies, which can lead to higher prices for consumers.

A prolonged strike can also lead to layoffs and reduced spending by workers and businesses, which can further hurt the economy.

Industry Impact

A strike can have far-reaching effects on an entire industry, not just the company where the strike is taking place.

For example, if workers at a steel plant go on strike, the price of steel could rise, affecting construction companies that use steel in their buildings.

And if truckers go on strike, the price of food could rise because grocery stores wouldn’t be able to get their supplies.

In this article, we’ll break down his speech and tell you exactly how he feels about these crises and how they’re affecting Ghana and the rest of the world today, according to his own opinion.

According to President Akuffo Addo, our forefathers thought that economic crises were aberrations which are not supposed to recur.

He goes on to say that they believed that with hard work and enterprise, [people] could get out of them.

However, he notes that the current crisis is different because it is global in scope and character. As a result, he urges Ghanaians to be patient and work together to weather the storm.

Possible triggers for the crises

The current global economic turmoil has been caused by a number of factors, including trade tensions between the United States and China, Brexit uncertainty in the United Kingdom, war between Russia and Ukraine, and slowdown in European economies.

These factors have led to a decrease in demand for goods and services, and an increase in risk aversion among investors. As a result, Ghana’s economy has been affected in a number of ways.

The government’s response to this situation

At the African Union Champion of Financial Institutions the Boma of Africa Economic Conference, President Akuffo Addo of Ghana spoke on how the global economic turmoil is affecting his country.

He also announced plans to focus on improving Ghana’s infrastructure and education systems to better position the country in the future. Here are some of his most noteworthy statements from his speech.

How citizens can respond to this situation

He said that jobs are being lost and businesses are struggling. The President urged the people of Ghana to remain calm and to trust in the government’s ability to handle the situation.

He also announced a package of measures that the government will be taking to help ease the economic burden on the people of Ghana.

The State of Economy

President Akuffo Addo stated in a recent address that the current global economic turmoil is affecting Ghana.

He said that the high interest rates are making it difficult for businesses to expand and create jobs. In addition, the fall in commodity prices has led to a decrease in export earnings.

As a result, the government has had to cut spending and increase taxes. The President also noted that the situation is likely to improve in the second half of 2023 as commodity prices are expected to rebound and interest rates are expected to fall.
