CONFIRMED: Christian Atsu found alive.

Christian Atsu, a former winger for the Black Stars and Hatayspor, is said to have been discovered alive after going missing under the wreckage of today’s terrible earthquake in Turkey.

The former Chelsea star has reportedly been taken to a local hospital, where he is anticipated to make a full recovery. I’m still in touch with Christian Atsu’s management, tweeted Saddick Adams, an award-winning Ghanaian journalist.

They have received confirmation from Atsu’s teammate that the player has been located and taken to the hospital. They anticipate his team will issue a formal announcement soon. He continues to be in everyone’s prayers. God will keep him safe.

After a devastating earthquake ripped through Turkey and Syria, leaving devastation and wreckage on both sides of the border, more than 2000 people have perished to date, and rescuers are frantically trying to extricate survivors from beneath the rubble.

Following the event, several footballers, including Onur Ergun and Burak Oksuz, were rescued. Ruben Ribeiro and Ze Luis, Atsu’s other teammates, are unharmed, and Kerim Alici was able to escape the debris.
