Don’t be left in the dark! ECG to undertake planned maintenance in parts of Accra on July 13

Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) wishes to inform its valued customers that it will be carrying out planned maintenance in some parts of Accra on July 13, 2022, between the hours of 6am and 4pm, as part of its continued efforts to ensure reliable electricity supply across the country.

During this period, the affected areas may experience power fluctuations or disruptions in electricity supply.

Customers in these areas are therefore advised to store their food in proper refrigerators and keep their emergency generators ready to operate during the outage period if necessary.

They are also enjoined to switch off all unnecessary appliances or equipment.

When will it happen?

On July 13, ECG will be undertaking planned maintenance in some areas of Accra. We advise all residents to take the necessary precautions to avoid any inconvenience. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.

What should I do?

If you live in one of these areas (Pantang, Boula, Abokobi, Boiman, Seseme, Greda Estate, Guest Inn, Aglican, Demo and its environments) that will be affected by the power outage, make sure to have plenty of backup batteries for your electronics, as well as candles and matches for light.

It’s also a good idea to cook any food that will spoil in advance, so that you don’t have to worry about it during the outage. And finally, stay safe and cool heat and darkness can be a dangerous combination!

Where can I get more information?

For more information about the areas that will be affected by the power outage, you can visit the ECG website http://www.ecggh.com or call their customer service hotline. You can also follow them on social media for updates.
