GHANASCO toilets turned into accommodation for students.
A video purported to show a Ghana Senior High School (GHANASCO) bathroom being used as a sleeping area for pupils in Tamale, the regional capital of Ghana’s Northern Region, has gone viral.
The aforementioned video, which GhanaWeb claims to have seen, showed student beds, chop boxes, bags, and other supplies in a restroom’s toilet section. The students and some of the materials were also visible in the restroom’s hallway.
Dr. Clement Apaak, the Builsa South member of parliament, said the video was one of three he received and released it on Twitter on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
He criticized the nation’s deteriorating educational system and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“Only under this careless and dishonest NADAA/Bawumia NPP government are toilets modified to suit secondary school students.
The video below is one of three footage that I recently received from GHANASCO in Tamale. Most surprising, unthinkable. NADAA must abase himself, the user remarked on Twitter.
