How to Add Google Forms to Your WordPress Website in 5 Steps

Google Forms are a great way to add interactive questions and answers to your website, but how do you actually add them?

This guide will show you how to add Google Forms to your WordPress website in five easy steps, and it will show you why this is beneficial to you, your business, and your readership.

Let’s get started!

Step 1: Create a form

First, you’ll need a form. For that, you can either build one from scratch or use one of Google’s templates.

Step 2: Copy the form code

Find your form URL. If you’re using a form from Drive, Docs, Sheets, or Slides (on either desktop or mobile), click Share and then click Get shareable link. Copy that URL from your browser’s address bar.

Step 3: Paste into your blog post editor

You now need to copy and paste your list of questions into your web-based HTML editor.

Using your HTML editor, you can add descriptive headers, bullet points, bold and italic type and whatever else you’d like.

Just make sure that each question is on its own line so it is easy for visitors to answer. Once you have pasted all of your questions, click Save & Publish!… which brings us to step four!

Step 4: Embed the form

The first step is to embed your form on your website. If you are using a free plugin like WPForms, you will be taken directly into your WordPress dashboard where you can easily add and configure your forms.

Alternatively, if you are not using a free plugin, follow these instructions for adding custom HTML/JavaScript to your website.

Step 5: Share form with your audience

Now that you’ve created your form, it’s time to add it to your website and share it with everyone. You have a few options for doing so: Upload through HTML: To upload your form, simply head back over to Form Tools.
