Ivory Coast Football Association: Didier Drogba Eliminated From the Race.
It was announced on Saturday morning that Didier Drogba has been eliminated from the race to become head of the Ivory Coast Football Association.
The first African to be inducted to the English Premier League hall of fame. In a statement released by the Ivorian Football Federation, it was stated that Drogba’s contested the seat together with others Idriss Yacine Diallo and Sory Diabate.

Total vote cast for Didier Drogba, the former Elephant captain polled 21 votes in the first round to exit the race making way for the other two to contest.
There will be one last round of voting between two remaining candidates for presidency. The election of a new president by Ivory Coast football association is now between Yacine Idriss and Sory Diabate.
Yacine Idriss
Yacine is a footballer, who plays for Tanda as a midfielder. He has played for Afourer and San Pedro Sun in his native Ivory Coast, before moving to DR Congo side Tanda in 2009.
Yacine Idriss, Didier Drobga was also part of Ivory Coast national team that won Africa Cup of Nations.
Yacine Idriss Diallo was then elected as the new Ivorian Football Federation President after beating Sory Diabate by two votes.

The vote will begin at 0800 (0900 GMT) on Saturday and end four hours later with results expected after that.
All of Africa’s five representatives in FIFA’s executive committee were present. In the first round, these were their standings:
Didier Drogba vote cast – 21
Yacine Idriss – 59
Sory Diabate – 50
Second Round:
Yacine Idriss – 63
Sory Diabate – 61
Yacine Idriss Diallo was then elected as the new Ivorian Football Federation President. Congratulations!!!!!
