Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations call on Teacher Union.
It has come to the attention of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR) that the pretertiary education sector unions are threatening to embark on industrial action over the appointment of a new Director-General for the Ghana Education Service (GES).
- Given the long standing relationship between Government and the Unions, the Ministry hereby invites the Minister for Education and Leadership of the Unions concerned to a meeting in the Conference Room of the Ministry on Friday, 4th November, 2022 at 10:00 am to discuss and find amicable resolution to the impasse.
- By this invitation the Ministry entreats all stakeholders to exercise restraint whilst the matter is being amicably resolved.
