You should keep an eye on your accounts and bank statements to ensure that fraudulent activities are not occurring. One way to do this is by setting up alerts or notifications that will notify you when a transaction is made.

For example, set up an alert for every time a purchase is made with your credit card, so you’ll know if anything seems off.

Report Suspicious Activity Immediately

Beware of any emails or phone calls requesting personal information, such as account numbers and passwords. If you suspect fraudulent activity on your account, call the bank to report it immediately.

Most importantly, if you have suspicions that your identity has been compromised in any way, contact your bank and law enforcement immediately. The sooner you can act, the better chance you have at getting back on track with your life.
