We are the only manufacturer of sachet water in Ghana, and our production capacity is limited. Our costs have gone up recently, including a rise in the cost of raw materials that we use to make sachet water. As a result, we’ve had no choice but to raise the price of our sachets by 50%.

You could use a refillable bottle and drink filtered water, or save up your money to buy a filter or purifier for your sink. You could also buy in bulk and re-fill smaller bottles with filtered water.

Sachet water is a popular choice in Ghana as it is usually more affordable than bottled water. The iced variety, sold by brands such as Verna and Voltic, costs about GH¢2.50 and GH¢5.00.

While the hot variety starts at GH12.00 and GH15.00 for a bag of sachet water. However, starting Oct 31, 2022, sachet water prices will be adjusted to go up by at least a third of the current price per sachet.
