Sim Registration App Ghana Download Ready – Here’s How to Get Started

Are you tired of the long, frustrating lines at the SIM registration offices in Accra? Well, it doesn’t have to be that way!

In a news release on Friday night, the NCA stated that consumers can now download and use the app, GH SIM SELF REG, which has been posted to the Google Play Store.

The NCA stated in the statement that “it will be accessible on the Apple Store soon” even though the App Store version is not yet complete. The government of Ghana has released a new SIM registration app called One Ghana Sim Registration.

This mobile application allows you to register for your SIM card from your computer or smartphone, and it does not require you to go out of your home or office to get the process done. All you need to do is fill out a short form online and pay an online registration fee.

NOTE: Customers and users should note the following before taken steps for the registration:

β€’ To use the app, users must have completed stage 1 (*404#), and it only presently supports Ghana Card. You can find the app on the Google Play Store

The Basics

Subscribers who have completed Stage 1 of their SIM card registration are intended to use the app to complete Stage 2. [Steps on how to do it yourself can be found below].

  1. Dial *404#
  2. Enter Ghana Card PIN (Enter letters and figures without the hyphens)
  3. Confirm Ghana card PIN.
  4. Enter Surname and First Name(s)
  5. Enter Date of Birth (DDMMYY)
  6. Select Sex.
  7. Confirm details.
  8. Submit details provided after confirmation.

Are you planning a trip to Ghana? If so, you’ll need to register your SIM card before you can use it. But don’t worry – the process is quick and easy, and you can do it all from the comfort of your own home.

Step 1: Sign Up

The first step is to sign up for an account. You can do this by providing your email address and creating a password. Once you have an account, you can start using the app.

Step 2: Verify Your Email Address

In order to verify your email address, you will need to click on the link in the verification email that was sent to you.

Once you click on that link, you will be taken to a page where you can enter your email address and password.

After you have entered your information, click on the Verify Email Address button. You will then be taken to a confirmation page.

Step 3: Confirm and Subscribe

Now that you have the app, it’s time to confirm your registration and subscribe. After opening the app, you’ll see a registration screen.

On this screen, you’ll need to enter your name, email address, and country of residence. Once you’ve entered this information, tap the Confirm button.

You’ll then be prompted to subscribe to the service [MTN, ARTELTIGO, VODAFONE etc]. Choose the subscription plan that best suits your needs and tap the Subscribe button. That’s it!

Step 4. Making A Call

Now that you have your new SIM card and phone number registered, it’s time to start making calls! Here’s a quick guide on how to make a call with your new Ghanaian phone number:
1. Open your phone’s dialer app.
2. Enter the phone number you want to call, including the country code (+233 for Ghana).
3. Tap the call button.
4. The person you’re calling will answer, and you can start talking!

Step 5. Text Messaging Section:Β 

Now that you have the Sim Registration App Ghana downloaded, you’re ready to start using it! In the Text Messaging section, you can send text messages to any number in Ghana.

To do so, simply enter the number you want to message in the to field and type your message in the Message field. When you’re ready, click Send.
You can also make international calls and send SMS messages with the registered Sim.

If you don’t re-register your SIM card, you will not be able to use it after September 30th. Your phone number will be disconnected and you will lose any unused airtime or data on your account.
