Teacher Unions Declare Strike amidst new Director General of Education.

The strike was announced on Friday, November 4, 2022, by the leadership of the three unions, the Coalition of Concerned Teachers, Ghana (CCT), the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), and the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT).

Since Dr. Eric Nkansah’s appointment on October 19, the unions have challenged the decision, claiming that the new GES Director-General is unqualified to hold the job.
