WAEC: 2022 private WASSCE results released.
Provisional results for the 43,742 candidates who took the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates in 2022 have been made public by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
The entry figure is made up of 20,164 men and 23,578 women, according to WAEC. Two candidates had hearing impairment, and 76 others had vision impairment.
Also, 901 candidates had their results withheld for allegedly cheating on the exam.
The Council advised the general public to be on the lookout for con artists who could approach candidates and offer to upgrade their results in exchange for a price paid through mobile money transfers.
